A Dash of Hope was created to help humanity in two specific areas. First, we concentrate on raising awareness of and putting a stop to child sex trafficking throughout our country. We will succeed in this endeavor by unifying our efforts with the organization of America’s Future and their highly qualified and respectable staff.
The second part of our mission is to build Surya, an alternative hospital that integrates Eastern and Western medicine under one roof. The purpose of Surya is to help heal people by bringing in the newest healing modalities including zero-point energy. Our goal is to become a pilot facility for every state. The benefits of such facilities will be immeasurable.
Child Sex Trafficking
We are working together with America’s Future to raise awareness of this problem in our country. Money raised for this cause will be used to educate and, with the guidance of a great team of attorneys, assist in changing legislation to better protect our youth.

Surya: House of Light
Surya is a twenty-five thousand square foot facility that Doctor Jacqueline Kos and Tim Graham have completed architectural plans. Surya will house doctors and therapists from both the Eastern and Western sides of medicine. Each care giver will be trained in energy healing. All will work in unison and with respect for one another’s perspective and most importantly with respect for all patients. Surya will be a beacon of hope for all those seeking overall wellness. It will be a template for healing in the future.
At age forty-eight, we had just sold our business and life was good. I knew however, that I was too young to be completely retired and that I had more chapters to write in my life journey. I decided to sit quietly and wait for God to show me the path of my future.
A few years later, by happenstance, my husband Mario and I had a house guest who would influence me to further educate myself on the world around me. He knew how to peak my curiosity but then refuse to answer my questions. He pushed me to do my own research (which was the absolute right thing to do). It was on this journey of researching that I realized what I could do to leave my mark on this world. I just want to do my part to leave it a little better than I found it.
I had begun to write a cookbook. I decided that this book would help me to fund my philanthropy. As I began to share my plans and my goals with those around me, I realized that there were many people who were aware and also wanted to help to make a difference.
It is this journey that led me to discover Dr. Jacquelyn Kos who had a dream of building Surya, a facility to help treat and heal people via integrated sources of treatment. I then learned that my cousin Julia Hasbrouck had been feeling a pull to do something to help save our children in these trying times. As a result, I am now working with Dr. Kos to assist her in the planning of Surya. As for Julia, she and I came together as “Cousins for a Cause” to raise money and awareness of the child sex trafficking epidemic in our country.
A Dash of Hope encompasses these two causes. We will forge forward and let God lead us on this journey of service to mankind. Anyone who supports a Dash of Hope, whether directly or indirectly, will have had a hand in changing our future for the better. It truly does take a village!
